When you have a security or fire alarm system installed, you expect it to work when needed. In order for an alarm signal to make it to an alarm company’s Central Station and them to respond/dispatch proper authorities, you need a RELIABLE communication source. There are several different communication methods used on intrusion and fire alarm systems, including: Internet, Cellular, Telephone Lines, and Radio.

Radio is the ONLY communication method, NOT effected by cell phone jammers or cellular network outages, Internet outages, phone lines being cut/going down, or power outages. If ANY of these things occur, your security or fire alarm system becomes useless and can have disastrous results.

It is for these reasons Jade Alarm’s owner, Joe Pfefer, decided to find a better option for his valued customers after having unfortunate experiences with hard copper lines and cellular type of ‘security’ systems – that were in fact, not. In 1983, Jade Alarm installed its first communication tower in the Kansas City area and the radio network has expanded ever since. We now have fourteen alarm data repeater sites located throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area and continuing to grow!

In 1992, Jade Alarm installed the FIRST US based alarm radio intelligent network and due to Jade Alarm’s continued expansion, Jade Alarm now has the largest network of its type in the US per the manufacturer.

In 2008, after over a year in testing, Jade Alarm received authorization from local Fire Marshals to use our FireNet radio for monitoring life-safety commercial service.

Jade Alarm now offers two True Digital Radio products, depending on your protection requirements:

• SecureNet™ is our Intrusion Alarm True Digital Radio System
• FireNet™ is our Fire Alarm True Digital Radio System

Both products provide the same advantages, outlined above, over their non-radio-based competitors and are fully supported by our World Class Central Station Monitoring Command Center.

• Signal travels at speed of light 
• Power outage protection. We get a signal of power failure and begin to diagnose why power failed.
• Saves money, due to ever increasing phone line prices 
• Status checks. Tests are sent out to ensure signal reliability. If there is an issue you will receive a call as a service ticket is generated for a tech to respond.
